SETI Clients Page

The first page is a table of the SETI clients. Each line displays the name of
the computer that the SETI client is running on, the current progress or amount
completed of the current work unit (WU), the hours of processing, the number of
WU completed since the SETI monitoring program has been running, and the
location of the SETI client. If the monitoring method is set to Real time the
approximate number of processing hours is displayed. In CPU time, the hours
displays what the SETI client reports as processing hours. The Progress is
always what the SETI client reports. The SETI client icon flashes red if the
SETI client cannot be reached or has stalled. See the Options page for an
explanation of stalled. The progress and hours may also be displayed as N/A if
this happens.
From this page you have several options. Use the Add button to add a SETI
client to the list. Clicking the button brings up a file browser. Use the
browser to locate the folder where the SETI client files exist. If you have
installed the the normal screen saver version of the SETI client in the default
location, the files are in C:\Program Files\SETI@Home. You can
pick any of the files in this directory and click open to add the SETI client.
The actual file monitored is state.sah. You can also get the Add
Client browser by double clicking the blank line in the list.

Highlight any SETI client and click the Edit Client button to edit the
SETI client information. From the dialog that comes up, you can change the name
of the client, the location or the color. The name can be any alpha numeric
character combination. The default is the computer name. The color is the color
of the SETI client in the graphs on the other pages. You can change the location
here also if you happen to change the location of the SETI client files.
Changing the location can also be used to change the SETI client that is
monitored. You can double click on the SETI client in the list to open he Edit
dialog.
The Delete Client button removes the highlighted SETI client from the
list. This does not affect the SETI client itself. It is just not monitored by
this program if you delete it.
The Search button brings up the multi-threaded search engine.
